It's official. Reform UK is the most disliked party in UK politics, according to new polling. Polling carried out by research group More in Common asked voters which parties they would tactically block, and found that 38% of Brits would vote against Reform, up nine points since last November.
Compare these different messages. Which is best?
- “We should follow EU rules for food production”
- “We need to align to common EU food standards again”
- “we should work across different countries to guarantee food quality and safety”
That why good Government communications matter.
Polling holds too much sway over our democracy and governance. But the G&D by-election does show that Reform’s dominance is inflated by foreign/rightwing interests, irresponsible media support and Farage’s ego.
If progressives can win despite all that, then hatred really is overpriced. Hope can win.
The reasons we joined the EU in the first place have not gone away. They just need rediscovering because people have forgotten why it happened.
