Movie Review - 'Dracula: A Love Tale' is the bloody gothic horror for eternal romantic Dracula: A Love Tale (2026) is rated R for enthusiastic sexytimes, beartraps, immolation, people getting stabbed, bitten, and run-through, also suicide, animal injury (see bear traps), and beheadings.

Luc Besson's take on Dracula is more than a love story with bite. It's a bloody rampage through time from the only POV that counts.

In 2009, Gil Girard made little circles in the air with his finger in the general direction of my tattoo, and asked, "what's going on over there, butterflies?" He also let me know (sotto voce), "I can get you anything you want. I know people."
