I know you're working on that alchemic mix of gravitas, fear, relatable reactions, championing successes so far and ultimately a call to action... with a belief in and hope for a better future @sioldridge.bsky.social & @nickoldridge.bsky.social
Can't wait to see the final film!

Some constructive questioning and criticism I've read of the @nebriefing.bsky.social is that it was too pessimistic, and would generate fear in a general audience - resulting in helplessness and inaction.
Seems that a bit of fear (but not dread) can be motivating.

Crude oil prices, showing a very sharp increase in the last day, from around 65 to 101 dollars per barrel..
Oil prices wouldn't be all over the news today if more of our economy was powered by local, secure renewable energy.
This isn't an "energy crisis". It's a fossil fuel crisis.
44% of UK electricity came from renewables in 2025. More of that plus an electrified economy => no more oil shocks.

Actually, a hand knitted tea cosy should be definitely be on the list.
Canβt think of any other nation that obsessed with keeping tea warm on a cold winterβs morning, that they knit accessories for kitchenware.

I like villains who have some likeable and relatable features. They love classical music, or are kind to cats, or pick up litter, or go swimming in the sea everyday. Real humans are rarely 100% bad or 100% unlike you. The best villains are the ones you're not sure about, their evil sneaks up on you!

There are big numbers being touted for the cost of re-nationalisation. But those numbers come from privatised water companiesβ¦ donβt know about you, but not sure I trust them to mark their own homework here!

The science influencers going viral on TikTok to fight misinformation
Scientists and medical experts are countering climate denialism, vaccine scepticism and wellness pseudoscience on social media.

These kind of support projects are a vital part of what effective and equitable system-change looks like.
