This patch of Cyclamen in a neighbour's garden never fails to stun me in March each year with the vibrancy of the colour.

While standing at the top of a bluff, there is a small cove within rocky bluffs that has one beachgoer sitting in the sun on the rocky beach below. Just off shore is a partially sunken fishing boat that is rusty and tilting to one side. Way in the distance at the horizon, Morro Rock is barely visible. The sky and water are light blue with a thin layer of clouds, making the sunlight somewhat filtered. Shipwreck is near Cayucos, California which is north of Morro Rock and South of Cambria.

Our photograph captures a quiet, peaceful scene beside a calm river, filled with cool colours and gentle reflections that give the whole image a soothing atmosphere. In the foreground, dark blue water stretches across the lower half of the picture. The surface is smooth with only slight ripples, like soft breathing across the river. Tiny white specks dot the water here and there, and the deep blue reflects the sky above.
