Made my final trip to Joann's yesterday to buy whatever quilting supplies I could find. I got a rotary cutter, rulers, and a cutting mat for cheap. But it's sad and I feel for the people working who are losing their jobs and still busting their asses while people go nuts buying up everything.

Ok I'm learning terminology now: hand PIECING is when you hand sew all the quilt top pieces together. Hand QUILTING is when you make a sammy of backing, batting, and quilt top and join them all together by hand sewing. I want to do both.

Say what you will about seed stitch, I kind of love it. I love the texture and I don't mind the purling. Can't wait to start the next step of this pattern, which is welts.

Started the Pengweeno cardigan by Stephen West for a friend's baby. I pulled out a bunch of scraps and I'm actually really excited to see how it will turn out! I have a pretty tight deadline of 2.5 weeks 😬 so I'm hoping I can make it in time if I commit really hard to it.

I do that! But sometimes I can't find *exactly* what I'm looking for. The problem with being overly picky choosey. Sometimes I'll talk myself out of doing a pattern that I know will work with the yarn because I'm that indecisive.

Sorta similar, I lived paycheck to paycheck till a couple years ago. I'm turning 40 and just now have the means of starting to save. That being said I also have about a mortgage worth of student loans. So home ownership prob won't happen and I don't really have any assets. Unless yarn counts lol.

But that being said I will probably talk myself out of it because of yarn guilt. I still have so much stash. The issue is that it's hard finding projects to fit the yarn you have rather than looking for yarn for a project you're excited about.
