After tackling the world’s tallest mountains, Lucy has turned her attention to working on one of the most challenging “Hills” in America, as an intern on Capitol Hill.
Lucy began climbing mountains at the age of 7 and holds an American record as the youngest woman to summit Mount Everest, as well as a World record as the youngest female to summit the highest mountain in each of the 50 U.S. states.

DuPage County Economic Development Chair Yeena Yoo joined Choose DuPage Board Member Karyn Charvat and Choose DuPage Co-Chair Glenn Mazade at the Construction Industry Service Corporation's annual awards breakfast this morning.
Thanks to these funds, DuPagePads has so far been able to get more than 50 people out of the cold and into a shelter for the winter.
The DuPagePads Board also provided $150,000 to the cause.
The DuPage County Board allocated $200,000 from the County’s affordable housing fund to assist DuPagePads. Chair Conroy asked for assistance from DuPage Foundation, which contributed $190,000 in combined support from its Emergency Fund, donors, fund holders, and network of area funding partners.
DuPagePads approached the County in December for assistance after its Interim Housing Center had reached capacity, with the waiting list growing to three times its typical length. DuPagePads sought funding to provide shelter through the winter.
