It's just over a week until the listening party for my album. Join me (please!) at 8pm BST on the 29th July to listen to the album in full, chat with me about it, and...err...meet all the amazing celebrities who will also be there (he lied, convincingly).

I can, but I was going to wait until Bandcamp Friday as I have a few songs on my list I'm leaving until then. It's a fantastic song though so I'll buy it today if you want.
@theapplauseband.bsky.social have a new song out today. Listen Up is a rocker of a track with fantastic vocals and a great guitar solo. Go and grab it...in two weeks! (on the next Bandcamp Friday, which is what I'm going to do π).

The front cover of my album shows all my guitars and pedals out, but when you flip the cover over, you see everything in the same place but in their cases.
Standing all the guitars on a rack that's not designed to hold them like this was truly terrifying.
A better Superman than Dean Cain.
It's just one month until the release of my Eponymous album! Click here (mattkik.bandcamp.com/album/eponym...) to like, follow, dare I say pre-order? And in the meantime, listen out on the indie radio stations as I sent the second song to them today!
In less than four hours! ππππ

Ruin a book's title by replacing one word with "butthole":
A Tale of Two Buttholes
Surely there's at least one more (thank you for your order) or maybe two (you just paid Β£x.xx on PayPal).
If I have the forethought I take a picture of the settings on my phone for later. Most of the time I forget though, and then the next time spend hours and hours trying to faithfully recreate whatever I had. Usually failing. π
The Mira is so good! It's almost always on.
I like the Slicer, I just need to spend more time with it to get to know it (and I don't because I'm lazy). It's one where you struggle to recreate the wonderful things you see in the product demos. Or at least, I do.
Remember when I posted a few weeks ago saying "Gee, I've not changed my pedalboard in 18 months...I'm cured!" I wasn't cured. Here's the latest iteration of the board. Gone are the noise killer and Boss RV-3, welcome the Mosaic and Fart Pedal!
(Two gag pedals on one board now!)
News from Matt! π
On the way to town we drove towards a digital sign that simply said "save lives". I though "well sure, I'd have a go if the opportunity presented itself, but I don't think I need a sign to prompt me". As we passed, the words "seat belts" appeared above it.
We had them forecast yesterday and then they never showed up. Put all my washing out inside as well. π«€
Sunny and relaxing, although I've got to do a long drive to take my daughter to a swimming thing later (boo!) but we get to go out for dinner on the way home (hooray!) How about yourself?
I'm left handed so have never really bothered going into actual guitar shops. I can only try so many cheap black Squier strats. Still, it is a shame they're disappearing.
Good morning, Oli!
My acoustic guitar, a Fylde Falstaff, bought by my Dad in the mid-seventies for around Β£275. When he died I flipped it upside-down as I'm a lefty, and this is the only acoustic I play today. I still refer to it as my Dad's guitar, and it is the most beautiful instrument in the world (to me).
From my personal account...
I was happy to get it written, as it was the last of my four for the album. It's not my favourite though. But I did love the way the other guys added all the silly voice-overs. Especially Paul's train announcer bit, had me in hysterics. π

Ha ha, I'm not sure a song calling people bastards is our happiest, but it does make me giggle. Thank you very much for including us on your list!
I happened to need a strobe tuner for setting up a guitar just as these came out and couldn't resist it as a) it's very good and b) it's very shiny!
If I can be bothered, it may be joined by The Fart Pedal at some point. π
A guitar pedalboard featuring (from left to right, top to bottom) HX Stomp, Boss RV-3, Donner Noise Killer, Source Audio EQ2, Walrus Audio Mira Compressor, my own "The Nothing" pedal, (next row) Boss SL-2, Boss SY-1, Morningstar MC6 mk2 with GFI Triple Switch below, Xotic XW-1 Wah, Digitech FreqOut, and a Peterson Strobe LE with a home made tap tempo switch below.
Holy crap, it's been over eighteen months since I last changed something on my pedalboard. Could it be that Version 6.0 is finally "the one"? π€
