Pete Hegseth attacks media for not being positive enough about US attacks on Iran
WASHINGTON – The Trump administration has expanded its trade investigations to 60 countries, including Canada, in an effort to shore up the president’s tariff policies.
It’s weird to realize it has been six years, as I remember that strange day so vividly.
Six years ago today, the University of Calgary suspended all in-person lectures due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Top Trump officials acknowledged to lawmakers during recent classified briefings that they did not plan for the possibility of Iran closing the strait in response to strikes."

Hegseth: "We will keep pushing, keep advancing. No quarter, no mercy for our enemies."
No quarter is the refusal to take prisoners and instead just execute everyone. It's been considered a war crime for over a century.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Pentagon tells Congress the first week of the Iran war cost the US $11.3 billion, an AP source says.
State constitutions can serve as a powerful tool to protect our communities from dangerous collaborations between ICE and state and local police.
I love Canada, but I object to this never having a snow day. Terrifying commute this morning.
Incredible self-own from the US president here, suggesting he's unable to keep his streets safe, even in comparison to the streets of a country he is presently bombing.
Nice soccer team you've got there, it would be a shame if something happened to it.

I’m excited to share that my latest article, “The Multidimensions of AI Chatbots as Evidence,” is now forthcoming in the U.C. Davis Law Review. The abstract is below, and I plan to have it up on SSRN soon.
Not true.

Iran has laid about a dozen mines in Strait of Hormuz, sources say reut.rs/4sxmE3w
It's now been 11 days since the U.S. and Israel began attacking Iran. Neither nation has offered any argument that they aren't breaching the UN Charter. And the Trump Administration hasn't even suggested that the POTUS didn't violate the Constitution. There's not even a pretense of legality. [1]
Just out @propublica.org: How did the Pentagon make the horrible mistake that left more than 150 school children dead? Perhaps because it cancelled an effort to limit such harm in favor of Hegseth’s lust for “lethality.”

"Each person plucked from their day-to-day existence left a whole life behind. There are shoes by the front door and an empty bed. There’s a car in the driveway and a job undone. There are pets that need feeding, bills that keep arriving and leases with months left to pay."
BREAKING:
The DNC is suing the Trump admin to try to compel the government to say whether it is planning to put armed federal agents or military personnel at polling places and election offices this year.
Despite signals last fall that Operation Midway Blitz would ramp back up in the spring, March is now here, and there's little on the horizon to suggest Chicago soon faces a surge in federal agents, even though immigration enforcement remains a key pillar of the Trump administration.
Everything they can except illegally invading.
I’m hollering at my screen… yaaas!
Actress Sheryl Underwood, an Air Force Reserve veteran, is asking the questions we all want answers to.
