I have peaked
I mean the headline of his commentary is aptly colored.
nuclear posting since your first reply on bluesky. Sorry, don't have time for a gimmick account.
Not replacing russian gas in a couple of months would have been drastically more stupid.
What are you even complaining about?
2 countries lol.
Nuclear energy just isn't a widely prefered method of electricity generation anymore and hasn't for some time.
Simple facts.
Problem is they think it's smarter than everyone else too
This is just the fresh opening of a russian cheese factory. All is well!
Das folgt aus Nichtstun und sich unterordnen.
CDU darf gerne Neuwahlen riskieren ΓΌber bessere Bedingungen beim BΓΌrgergeld/Grundsicherung/whatever.
Yeah exactly ;)
Big difference in securing alternative gas sources and meeting current means vs. increasing dependency on gas for the future.
There is currently zero need for expanding gas.
Back in 2022 gas from russia had to be replaced asap.
So no, it's not a continuation, especially not with their heating policy
I'd rather spend the time and money on more PV, wind power and storage.
So even nuclear power in its current state isn't entirely without outside dependencies.
For germany more so unless we restart uranium mines. In which case - good luck.
Bottom line is: nuclear isn't nearly as crucial for general electricity generation than people make it out to be.
Having ~3GW in nuclear power from the last 3 plants would be... okish but pretty much have a negligible impact on the overall situation. Yet people get all freaked out that germans don't have that anymore. You should freak out more about conservatives pushing more reliance on oil and gas again.
I don't get the weird power boner people get from nuclear. Especially from outside germany.
NPPs never supplied as much electricity as renewables do now, many also were prone to shut downs and many certainly would have problems with hot summers and low river levels we have to deal wih now.
It was madness without having a plan to replace them with renewables, which is what the conservatives did.
The first phase out by SPD/Greens had that.
Conservatives gutted renewable installations from 2012 onward, shortly after the second phase out was passed.
Greens increased it again in 2021.
Not to mention that even france seems to be at least in part be reliant on russian uranium.
more like 3 and we installed more by a couple of factors in renewable energy sources since then. Crying and nostalgia after expensive energy doesn't solve our current needs.
We can roll out decentralized energy solution faster and for cheaper than centralized nuclear power.
Pretty sure the complaints are precisely that it's deadly and precise.
Meaning the elementary school kids were hit with full intent.
Which one? BEVs are being bought, they are just not being build which is a problem car manufacturers created themselves.
Nonsense.
Union did the actual deindustrialisation (killing off of the solar industry with +100k jobs lost).
Gibt davon einige FΓ€lle, wo RΓΌckholung angebracht wΓ€re.
