I traveled to Alabama for the 61st anniversary of the crossing of the Edmund Pettus Bridge, and had the opportunity to thank the volunteers with @aldemocrats.bsky.social and hear about their vision for our party and the future.

Americans are paying the price for Trump’s war of choice in Iran. Gas prices are up more than 30 cents a gallon in the past week—and the GOP’s response is “deal with it.”
In these trying times, we would do well to heed his call to “keep hope alive” and continue fighting to make America a more just place for all.

Today I attended the memorial services for Rev. Jesse Jackson in Chicago. Rev. Jackson was an activist for peace and a champion for civil rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and economic opportunity for all.

While Noem has caused irreparable harm to our communities, personnel change won’t be enough — Trump and his entire Cabinet are out of control. Tietjens, Sgt. 1st Class Nicole M. Amor, and Sgt. Declan J. Coady. I pray for the service members who were killed as a result of Donald Trump’s war with Iran, for their families, and for all who are serving our country. The decision to put our men and women in uniform in harm's way should be made with the utmost care and serious deliberation, but Trump has only exercised gross incompetence as U.S. troops are killed and American citizens are stranded in the crosshairs of a war that he started. Donald Trump’s reckless war in Iran has already shattered too many lives.
