Kon et al. performed WGS on 181 individuals of 86 ornamental Japanese medaka strains, tracing their origin to the Kansai–Setouchi region, and uncovered 3,328 genes associated with 26 phenotypes.

@snail-ecol-evol.bsky.social et al. assemble the first chromosome-level genome of a Helicoidea snail. Combining short and long read data, they obtained a 2.18 Gbp assembly of Bradybaena similaris, a model for shell shape evolution and invasion biology.
