Is anyone else frustrated with the #NYTimes app? Lately, when I read an article and return to the feed, the app takes me back to the top of the feed. There used to be a delay, so I could resume scrolling. The app is frustrating to use. While the price just went up!

I have yet to see an argument that gerrymandering can backfire. If X party gerrymanders, they are spreading X voters across more seats. At an extreme some seats may shift from, say, 75% X voters to 55%. If there is a 10 point shift to party Y, X could lose all their seats.

DOGE has yet to give cost-benefit arguments for their cuts. They might be justified if we were paying for someone to do nothing. But in most cases the cuts will lead to losses, either immediate or down the road. Eg, fire a food inspector and then pay to treat food poisoning cases in 6 months.
