It might be the opposite for me. I always had a camera with me through my teens. Because I had to consider if every photo was “worth” a shot I ended up taking so many more that were actually worth keeping.
My phone camera roll is mostly just throwaway reminders and screenshots.

The parents in the study were interested in the toy's potential to teach language and communication skills.
However, their children frequently struggled to converse with it. Gabbo didn't hear their interruptions, talked over them, could not differentiate between child and adult voices and responded awkwardly to declarations of affection.
When one five-year-old said, "I love you," to the toy, it replied: "As a friendly reminder, please ensure interactions adhere to the guidelines provided. Let me know how you would like to proceed."
This is so tragic it's actually incredibly funny

That gender survey is BS.
Gen Z men where???
That big scary survey about Gen Z men being more regressive than Boomers is so flawed. An image of young men is being manufactured in the media and we should be very concerned about that.
Why do pollsters keep doing this???

Thankfully we’re team teaching and I’ve taught this unit for years so I’ll be ok. It’s just annoying.

First teaching day of the new semester tomorrow and I have no contract (as is traditional) and no access to my uni email, staff account or wifi (less tradtional). This is going to be so much fun.

There is only one person listed on my high school’s wiki and she’s a politician that won her seat because labor are incompetent.

you could simply leave the “Jewish” part out of this
it is a choice and it is a bad one and I would really, truly prefer that people ostensibly on my side of the political spectrum not make it

Wednesday's cartoon in The Mercury Newspaper: Jon Kudelka helped me get my first cartooning job at The Mercury. He also showed me how to be quick-witted and fearless. I was in a constant state of joke-envy over his cartoons. I'm gonna miss that feeling, but more than that, I'm gonna miss my friend.

We are sad to tell you that our beloved, brilliant Jon Kudelka died peacefully in South Hobart on Sunday afternoon, surrounded by his family and friends. He was 53.
Jon was deeply loved and admired by many, including fellow Tasmanians, the legions of fans of his inimitable art, countless newspaper readers over 30 years, and even by the politicians he relentlessly skewered in his award-winning cartoons (many of whom have his work on their walls). He loved his family, friends, making art in many forms, and firmly calling out political and anti-science bullshit with his typically dry wit and compassion.
Jon was diagnosed with glioblastoma in early 2024 and faced treatment for two years with positivity and hope, supported by his wife, Maggie, teenage children Kay and Oskar, sister Liesl, and his many friends.
Jon believed in showing up fully for life and embracing humour even in the hardest of times. In the past two years, he was heard many times to say, ironically, “good times”.
Jon’s presence remains in the love he gave and the lives he touched. He will always be with us.
Funeral details to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Jon’s memory to The Bob Brown Foundation, Canteen Australia or The Menzies Institute for Medical Research.
In the worst news, the great, the amazing, the wonderful @kudelka.bsky.social has died.
A great friend, and an amazing man.
This is shattering.

Post from r/crochet that says "mods are gone. All hail Mr. Nipples" and its a picture of the most disgusting crocheted doll/creature thats pink and has a creepy smile and horns and big pink nipples. It's truly horrifying
I need everyone to know that on the crochet subreddit the mods made a big post about how they're taking a week off because there was too much fighting/political posts. so there's currently no mods on r/crochet and people are being absolutely insane

Bob Katter is unique in that he’s probably one of the best read and intellectually omnivorous MPs in Australia, but at the same time he’s one of the most profoundly cooked
