This flight, from one major city to another, was oversold. From what I can tell, this was not a support animal. Folks, planes and airports are not your living room. Be considerate.
…and before anyone asks, in both cases, yes they were.
Currently in the final minutes of what has been a deeply unpleasant flight involving two new parents, a fairly chill baby, their horse-sized German Shepherd with hot breath who should have had a seat of its own, and a mom with two young kids in the row behind me that she’s not paying attention to.

Even when the world feels bleak, it is a huge comfort to walk into a venue, hear your friends playing for their lives and to see them afterward, satisfied that they were able to create and share. Every day I have Chicago to thank for this in one way or another and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
