One thing that genuinely does mystify me, with no snark: Trump is one of the least masculine, least adult people in public life. Needy, whiny, defensive, pleading, scared of women & terrified of more powerful men.
I’m at a loss about why Trump’s base sees him as manly or strong.
No joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientist—because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition.

This may explain why there’s an aggressive response to people who merely post Kirk’s own words. It threatens the existence of the alternate Kirk - the motivational speaker that had been marketed to young kids and white Christian groups through selective quotation & clips.

We like to stop for lunch in cemeteries when we are on the road and then go for a walk. Besides, I love the view in your photo.

While we assume anyone with a flag on their vehicle is maga, we purposely fly one at our house. Not going to let them take our flag.
