Really great win after a mediocre first half for Arsenal. We had some good chances from open play but once again set pieces proved to be our savior, even without Gabriel. Nicolas Jover is a hero.

Absolutely mental half there. The Saka and Ødegaard linkup is immense to the team and anyone who has said otherwise is so clearly wrong.
Besides that, not the best half from Calafiori there but can’t complain about too much when up 5-2.

Halftime thoughts:
This is 22/23 Arsenal with overpowered set pieces. We are so far back we just need to stay healthy from here.
Also Timber is world class.
Last time we played Sporting I was at the Emirates. We lost on penalties, lost Saliba and Tomiyasu for the season, and were knocked out of the Europa League. It can be argued that our chances of winning the league evaporated that day as well. Today is a day for revenge.

This is the Liverpool from last season again. They are relying on a bit of luck to carry them but at some point it will fade. The only question is if we can stay close enough to them to take advantage when it does.

I’ve been waiting for Jorginho to start over Partey for some time so that is a welcome sight. Jesus over Havertz seems very random especially because Havertz only played 30 mins in his last match.
