A post from Jack Todd saying that he had basketball experience and scholarship offers and has been a fan for 60 years but will never post about it again because every single reply to him disagreed with him. It's the last of his posts I could see because he blocked me for saying that I think he overreacted in saying that calling SGA passing Wilt was an insult to Wilt because there were no 3 pointers when Wilt played. I also think blocking me was extreme.

I have been very much enjoying Jack Todd's posts.
I disagreed with him on something and now he blocked me.

But what SGA did was impressive. Kobe didn't do it. Jordan didn't.

Far from it. But I think calling it an insult is extreme. I'm not a big fan of 3-point basketball.

We *know* Babe Ruth's homeruns were different from McGwire's (bats different, pitching significantly different) but we still count 'em.
Basketball is different now, yup. But Wilt's height and armspan gave him advantages in his era too.

Not being saucy here. Have you driven the roads in Newfoundland lately?
The conditions of the roads are terrible.
Dodging potholes is one thing, but there are roads heaved up and areas with lanes crumbling away completely.
It's terrible and dangerous for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists.

There is an entire group of Newfoundlander and Labradorians on a blueberry list. Let me see if I can find it for you.

Just finished shoveling (2 hours!!) and pushed 2 cars out of the ditch in from of my house. The other 8 cars got out on their own.
Just in time for the freezing rain to start.

I considered shoveling and then saw my neighbour trying to get out of her house, so I shoveled her out and we shoveled a path for her to get out of her driveway because she is the personal care worker for someone who needs her. Luckily it's a short drive for her and the plow just went by.
