CODY TRAVERS & MIKE HAGAR FROM FINAL FIGHT?!
Be sure to take a close look at the premiums and add-ons!
I don't really know how to design products (besides t-shirts) like pins and patches and stickers and prints and no one really gave me any guidance so I just had fun with it and some of them are a little…unhinged.
Funded in two hours!
Sometimes the internet DOESN'T suck.
The Carney government has cut the only funding program for community archives, cut funding for access to information, and cutting 56 jobs. Harper made very similar cuts in 2012: thetyee.ca/Opinion/2012... @thetyee.ca
The Carney government is also cutting prison librarians to save…$2.5m. This is now a theme with the federal budget - it’s not about cost savings, it’s about destroying access to knowledge and information. #Cdnhist
::eye twitches:: A man who has never had to make $5 stretch for a week for food thinks it's poor people who don't know how to "budget". Meanwhile, Hegseth has spent literally millions of dollars on steaks and furniture and something tells me this dude hasn't been in a grocery store in decades.
HANG UP YOUR LANCE, TODAY YOU WILL BATTLE DARK THOUGHTS. AND YOU WILL WIN.
The obvious choice, of course.

Trektober #22 - Mariner from Lower Decks!!
worth remembering, David Lynch directed “fix your hearts or die” specifically at transphobes. it wasn’t a generic “no mean people allowed” statement, it was said by his Twin Peaks character in defense of a trans woman he cared for and deeply respected.
ROBOCOP (1987)
A gritty animated series chronicling the cyberpunk dystopian hellscape that is Old Detroit, with one incorruptible cyborg paladin gone rogue fighting the OCP-owned police force and the billionaire oligarchy.
Call me, Jeff. My rates are reasonable.
THE LEGEND OF MAD MAX.
I'd watch the hell out of that. An anthology series a la STAR WARS VISIONS featuring tales about the Road Warrior and his world? Hell yes.
... the rights to many of these titles when the publishers ceased to exist decades ago (and their files vanished if they ever existed) and they were often written under pseudonyms by writers whose estates had no idea.

That's why I have nothing but respect for pop culture archaeologists. Valancourt Books has a rather nifty imprint called Paperbacks from Hell, which reprints some of the best titles from the paperback original horror boom of the 70's and 80's. It took years to track down who actually held...
Zero Hour still has one of my all-time favorite bits of business from SUPERBOY #8 from Kesel and Grummett:
"YOU'RE CLARK KENT?!"
"YOU'RE -NOT-?!"
I still have the actual physical videotape for this promo video that was distributed to comic retailers in the 1990s. Hal Jordan/Parallax glaring menacingly at video footage of, like, Denny O'Neil is delightfully bonkers.

I think a lot of us millennials & older really take it for granted that we were the last of only a couple generations where there was an all-encompassing campaign to encourage literacy. Everyone used to agree upon it. There were commercials with your favorite celebrities just being like, "READ!"
the biggest problem with the two party system is that one of them is nazi germany and the other is vichy france
Yeah, we've lost a lot of good television (genre or otherwise) due to rights and a (perceived) lack of interest. Which is a damned shame.
Fun fact: the first STAR TREK series I owned in it's entirety?
ENTERPRISE.
"It's been a looooong road. . ."
If you are on vacation, do not log into work. Do not try to catch up on what’s going on with the dumpster fire project that I am rescuing your team from. Do not try to call me when I’m on Do Not Disturb. Unplug. Go sit on the beach.
Exactly! Everything is available and relatively easy to obtain. I remember the bad ol' days when DVD boxed sets for STAR TREK were -not- inexpensive in the least. These days they're a lot more reasonable than $100 a season.
THIS. I'm also a Whovian, and sorry if I come across as a salt vampire here, but the pro-hater wing of #StarTrek fandom don't know their good fortune. Nobody wiped and recycled the tapes of great chunks of TOS. Like them or not, every Trek show and film is intact and readily accessible.
