I loved Mother Mary Come To me. I hope you enjoy all your reads
Iβm about to do a reread after fifty years. When I read it in college, it was my introduction to magic realism and I was blown away. It will be interesting to see my reaction now
That was my first novel by Kitamura. I think Iβve read all her books now
One of her best!
Who else is reading Tomβs Crossing by Mark Danielewski? Iβm a few hundred pages in and loving it so far
Love Clair North!
This Is How You Lose The Time War is excellent. Enjoy!
Iβm reading Blood Child by Octavia Butler which is an anthology. After each story or essay, she does an afterword that explains how she came to write the story. Itβs the best Butler Iβve read
My current fantasy read is Empire In Black And Gold by Adrian Tchaikovsky. Itβs an interesting concept and Iβm enjoying it quite a lot
Who else has read Alchemised by SenLinYu? I was riveted by this story and can hardly believe it was a debut novel. Amazing accomplishment!
I just finished A Girl Is A Half-formed Thing today by Eimear McBride and Iβm gutted. Written in stream of consciousness format, it tells the story of an Irish girlβs life. It won the Womanβs Prize for Literature. I also loved her novel, The Lesser Bohemians, and canβt wait to read her new novel
I agree about challenging our genre boundaries. Iβm only about a third done with this one. Iβm interested to see how she wraps things up

"...as a publisher, u keep publishing lit fiction because youβre always an optimist. And you keep publishing those voices because you believe in them." Nice interview with Alex, who I've always had a lot of time for - made my first ever agent sale to her!

Iβm reading an anthology of Atwoodβs essays on science fiction. Itβs interesting to read about what she was thinking as she wrote Handmaidβs Tale and Orynx And Crate
I really want to start this series. Iβve bought the first two, now I need to move them up the queue

Sheβs definitely an author who is becoming aβmust readβ for me!
I picked it up. Thanks!
Iβm reading The River Swimmer byJim Harrison. I really love his clear prose and how he captures the everyday lives of his characters. I wish his career had been more popular. Iβve read about four of his books and loved every one
Am I the only one who doesnβt like reading books featuring Christmas? Or Halloween books in October?
I read many of his books years ago. Such great humor along with the mystery
I finished Endling by Maria Reva today. Iβve now read seven of the thirteen Booker nominees for this year and Endling has been my favorite. I loved the look into the Ukrainan culture, the strong women, the exploration of relationships and the topic of snail extinction fighting
I liked Flesh much more than I expected. For me , the middle of the novel covering his marriage was the strongest part
For me, itβs the names of characters
This one is high on my TBR list!
I bought a ton of books today before Prime Days. Lots of titles I didnβt expect to see
Iβve heard nothing but good about this title. Iβve loved her other books
I just started Endling today. Fifty pages in. I really like the feel of the writing and dialogue. Also, the story feels fresh. A scientist whose mission is saving snails and the βfind a brideβ businesses in Ukraine
