St John’s Church, Woodbridge, is holding a "Cherishing the Earth" day conference on Saturday, 21st March 2026 (9.30am to 4pm). Lord Deben will be giving an address, and the keynote speakers are Martin & Margot Hodson from JRI. There are all kinds of wonderful workshops being arranged, and it will be a great day. All welcome! It is only £5 each to cover refreshments and expenses.

Absolutely love Richard Scarry. When we lived in the States our son was brought up on this. The time when Lowly goes to the hospital for an X-ray & has a broken bone revealed has stayed with me. Can't find the image I'm after but this is close.

This is sadly true (as a microbiologist) & the pathogenic ones are a pretty low % of the microbial world but I take solace in all the microbiomes playing their part to put things right and to sustain us 🍞🍷🍺🧀& the fact that they're pretty much everywhere #microbeseverywhere

France reports MERS in 2 travelers who had been to Middle East No secondary transmission chains have been identified in France.

France is reporting two cases of MERS in two individuals who recently returned from the middle east. Both remain i hospital. MERS is caused by another coronavirus with spillover events occurring from usually from contact with camels.
