Like most other countries the US is vulnerable to this type of behavior due to the fact that women are having fewer children and later this has the dual compounding effect of reducing working age people. If women do the one thing that society must have to survive (have kids) this issue goes away.

Had boomers ... milllenials come home war heros the dynamic between men and women would have been very different. Womens rights dominated partially because men were not winning warriors. Does anyone believe that long haired rock stars would have been admired as much as genuine war heros?
Re: issues with younger men. It seems to me that had we won the Vietnam war (and likely the other wars too) there would be no problem. We have had two draft dodgers but no vets as President. When the greatest gen came home they were owed because they were heros. Food for thought.
