we have 6 different clouds all collaborating:
- Dynamic mask clouds based on "cloud cover" parameter
- High up stylized cirrus clouds to create direction\interest
- Far static horizon cumulonimbus, to create a "back plane"
- 2x static midground clouds for parralax
-"bounce plane" clouds

Eudora is the only Bear I designed for Spirit Crossing! I just love her so much. 🤍

I plan on showing more behind the scenes and fun details surrounding all the Bears I designed for Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit soon, so stay tuned for that!

As promised: Faces! 😁 Here's a thread about some technical details for how stylized faces get made in Spirit Crossing. 🧵

The game is inspired by media like Ghibli and BotW, but our faces are unique. There was lots of early discussion about face style & we landed on dot-eyes early...

Also, I found this super quick doodle and I'm seriously considering rendering it one day (the Axel + Roxas + Xion trio has always been my favorite).

One thing I've always been fond of is our windows.

Having contiguous exterior\interior spaces was important to us- but early on we realized interiors needed different ambient light from the exterior to feel properly cozy

A while back I made this illustration to be the cover for Cozy Grove's physical Exclusive Edition by iam8bit.

I haven't bought any physical games in a long time, but I still keep the games I played growing up. My 9-year-old self would have fangirled so hard about this.
