Human health is not a one size fits all, and we need to do everything we can to be cognizant of this fact. I encourage everyone to try to understand the nuances of health, and to not judge. Life is hard enough as it is, especially when our biology seems to be working against us.
part of life^
In 2025 medical experts agree that laziness is not an inherit cause for medical related issues and illness. Various complex factors come into play. While misunderstanding is a pert of life, the lack of compassion from the comments is what upsets me.
While I work in the video production world, I also work as a science communicator (I make educational content). I believe that I have an obligation to address scientific misunderstandings. In this case I was trying do address the misconception that people with mobility issues are lazy.
[Thread] I replied to a comment where a individual more stated that people with mobility issues are lazy. My response to here that this is simply not true, and I encouraged her to always approach issues with compassion and empathy.
Wow, your flippant attitude and lack of empathy makes you just as bad as MAGA in this regard. Jesus Christ.
I think we are in a weird age of hero worship. Maybe weβve always been like this, we are just seeing it more, but it concerns me.
We much create the idea of a superhero, or a white night to fix things instead of being engaged and holding politicians accountable, regardless of party.
I donβt care how old you are. And what on earth are you even talking about? All I said was people who have mobility issues are not necessarily lazy.
Who says I did it for you? I did it for me because she pissed me off.
You do know that some people have health and mobility issues right? Being lazy is not always a factor. Always approach things with compassion and understanding.
AMERICA: βItβs a mental health issue.β
REST OF THE WORLD: βWe have those. But donβt have mass shootings.β
AMERICA: βItβs video games.β
WORLD: βWe have those too. But donβt have mass shootings.β
AMERICA B: βItβs cause they took Jesus out of the classroom.β
WORLD: βGod, youβre stupid.β
For the eleventy billionth time:
Attacks on science funding and science jobs in the United States donβt mean that science will just move elsewhere.
It means a lot less science for everyone.
There arenβt enough jobs or funding everywhere else )combined) for US scientists to just move.
This is beautiful, but now conservatives are going to literally drain the swamp for being woke.
So, itβs ok to objectify women, but acknowledging that LGBTQ people exist is just too much?
The fact that more people are upset about Cracker Barrel changing its logo more than anything else makes my head hurt. Are Americans really this stupid?
Taylor Swift and BeyoncΓ© are the antithesis of art. They donβt make a move until profit margins and public opinion has been evaluated. They are not speaking out for or in defense of anything, but the advertising sure is trying to convince people they are.
Them: Some people donβt like owls.
Me: Who?
Today, I think someone just needs to take me out to pasture.
I need context. Is Satan a computer engineer?
No, they are Christians. The only requirement to be a Christian is to believe you are one. Not conforming, I know, but religion is a messy double edge sword.
Iβm convinced Satan is the good guy at this point. Especially when itβs Christians who are doing this.
I love your optimism and enthusiasm, but as someone who works at a public broadcasting agency, even if every viewer did $30 a month, we still wouldnβt be able to keep the lights on. Federal funding is/was crucial, especially for smaller stations.
Thank you.
I am an an employee of a public broadcasting affiliate. I love my job and believe that I do good things. Itβs been a tough few months.
The New York Times today featured the Center for Biological Diversity's recent report about and litigation challenging newly proposed border wall that would sever the most important migration corridor for wildlife like jaguar between Arizona and Mexico.

Today I saw a big ass white pickup truck with a trump sticker and another that said βWarning: Toxic masculinity.β
Out of the truck steps a fat dude with white socks and crocks and speaking in a higher voice than I do.
The insecurity level is staggering.
Iβm cynical enough to believe that George Santos will one day start a podcast and become rich.
I'm not loving a country that pays its adults half as much to teach children to spell as it does to kidnap them.
I wonder if anyone reads this, or if I am just talking to the wind.
