The team found that, in response to polychlorinated biphenyls, females have enhanced Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor activation in the liver, while males displayed distinct changes in gut microbiota and ileal gene expression, suggesting that different organ interactions drive sex-specific outcomes.

Dr. Danielle Little, Jones Lab graduate, had her final paper published from her dissertation. She led a team that deleted the primary hyaluronan-producing gene (Has2) in fibroblasts.
