Secondhand book haul - I definitely got lucky at Wallington ๐ค

I only read 20 pages yesterday and it hurt my head ๐
2025 is the year I move House of Leaves to my read shelf ๐ค
I've joined a buddyread to hold myself accountable to finish it

Book 4 in the Pat, Liz, and Thelma series and I enjoyed it just as much as the first 3. These retired teachers are back at the amateur-sleuthing, this time looking into the death of Neville Hilton, at the request of his first wife. This is a cozy yorkshire mystery that everyone will enjoy! ๐๐
This brightened my walk today and made me realise how much I missed nonfiction last year.

I caved and bought Victorian Psycho after seeing it everywhere!! #booksky
Cozy mysteries will always be a firm favourite ๐ค
A new series appealing to fans of Richard Osman and page-turning whodunnits by Judy Leigh.
Recommending this based on the 11 chapters I've read so far

Sometimes they re-release for paperback release to gain hype for the book. This happened to me with Beautifully Bright Creatures- I got it on netgally as the paperback was releasing even though hardback and audio were already out ๐
I'm in my Warhammer era and loving every moment ๐ค

Enjoy ๐ That's the only issue with series - sometimes they're too good to put down
Don't you love rewatching your favourite series
I still hate the way Z Nation got cancelled, but I'll never get sick of watching it over and over
You'll be pleased you stuck with it. Book 4 is probably my favourite
I thought The Thursday Murder Club got better as the season went on
Now. You've almost read half - no point wasting reading time on a book you're not enjoying
First book of February.
If you've yet to read Duncan Ralston then you're missing out! #booksky
I don't read fantasty as it doesn't work for me BUT I am loving The Vampire Genevieve from the warhammer universe
Now you're really selling them to me! They sound right up my street
I haven't but on my way to add them to my list now! Thank you ๐
The Passage trilogy, Swan Song, Wanderers ๐
I really need to get my hands on The Ballad of Black Tom. I loved Lone Women and highly recommend it
Perused the second hand bookshop at Gibside National Trust on Sunday and walked away with these goodies ๐ค #booksky
My current read is first person and I'm finding her very judgemental and condescending which is putting me off her
Lisa Jewell is always a good read ๐
I usually go for 1.55 - 1.8 depending on narrator and book. I've slowly been increasing speed over the last 2 years

Happy publication day to Disappoint Me by Nicola Dinan, following her debut novel Bellies (highly recommend).
Whilst I didn't get on with Max as such, I was very invested in Vincent's story. Please check this out!!
