Of all the things I do not want in my coffee, coconut and ube are top of the list. Society has absolutely lost the plot.

Hard yes to the tapenade. And the article was worth reading for the backstory on the word louche.
Nope. I love the idea and tried so hard but just β¦ no.
Donβt be. Broken in the best possible way.
Itβs beyond perfect.
Oh that just broke me.

We were born fucked. But we do not need to stay fucked. Thatβs a choice.
My brother just mentioned how he talks to his kids preparing them for the darkest timeline and just β¦ NO. I donβt consent to that. They didnβt consent to that.
Weβre going to eke out a better timeline. Not sure how yet, thatβs logistics.

Spoiler: Not so much. (Not a repeated purchase in the same way because, spoiler!, it's not alcoholic.)
(I was looking at a nice marketing job this week, thinking: That could be fun. And by fun, I mean fund Mersault.)
Good call, the catch is in getting the one to pay for the other.
Pretty grim if I want to drink nice wine?
I just realized something and I am still recovering from a migraine and I broke out in tears at the horror of it: I might never be more satisfied than I am writing an academic book review.
That's pretty fucking grim.
I kind of hate my one theory class this semester but if the profβs plan was to get us to read reams of Weber in order to appreciate the clarity and prescience of W.E.B. Du Bois in our evaluation of this book, then I grudgingly declare: βWell played.β

Yeah, it can be pretty ordinary
(That's deeply unfair to Picpoul, which can well be delightful when taken on its own merits.)
Instead of a therapist, try ChatGPT.
Amen
Also the editor: Why on earth are people drinking less?
This piece is really well done. As is often the case with many things in wine in practice, shipping is complicated.
Absolutely but what lies under someoneβs need for the distinction? Thatβs fascinating.
To add to the research pile!
Thatβs an interesting question. Thereβs an academic who argues that to translate class distinction in North America, you have to consider process more than whatβs actually consumed. Iβm badly paraphrasing due to space but imagine England would provide a whole other set of challenges.
Clearly not so much sensitivity across class divides!
Havenβt had one since high school but I could see the appeal and love to see overly serious tasting notes on non-wine things. Iβd subscribe for that.
The whole thing is mystifying. Iβd reckon flavoured vodka indicates a high school girl looking for something to mix with a Slurpee but clearly I lack the pedigree to properly distinguish.
One conundrum among many.
My fatal flaw is that I am also intrigued. I really want to understand how this person thinks.
