The unit also provided extra young leaders
I moved with him up to cubs.
I now only stay and help for certain sessions when we think my son and the other ND children might need extra support.
Scouts were the only EC that were inclusive.

My son has autism and ADHD. We tried many clubs when he was small, but they all asked us to leave due to other parents complaining. Beavers didn't. They did ask a parent to stay and help with him though, which I was more than happy to do. I was also able to assist with other autistic children.

Ooh - did you have singing lessons as an adult?
I've always sung in church choirs and toyed with having proper singing lessons at some point, but never had time. And now I'm in my 50s I've dismissed the idea as ridiculous. Especially as my voice is getting worse with age and teaching ☹️

It’s cold and I’ve been on my belly for hours with my Nikon and wide-angle lens hoping to catch an emperor fly like missile from the sea.

Although I can barely feel my fingers, I couldn’t be happier. My heart is singing and I can’t help but smile.

3k on a treadmill in the gym while swimmer child swam, then 1.5k swim in the pool while swimmer child did land training.
I did my back in over Christmas and just easing back into careful exercise this week.

It is rather nice banana bread to be fair 😁 - I put some ginger and cinnamon in, as well as lemon zest. The husband is having his warm with cream.
Also changed all the bed linen and mopped downstairs floors plus all usual weekly cleaning but ran out of characters!

A fairly productive weekend:
Made chocolate traybake, banana bread, sourdough wholemeal loaf, and 2 X veggie lasagnas.
Went to the gym, ran 5k, swam 1k.
Booked and organised various child related activities, helped eldest send more work experience begging emails, helped boy with homework.
All good😁💪

Argh! Sympathies.
I had an inspector in my lesson last year for the worst 10 minutes of the year - my year 11 class suddenly decided they wouldn't follow instructions and didn't know anything when I was doing cold calling. Claimed I'd never taught it.
Apparently it was all for Lolz to see my face. 🙄

The house has been de-Christmassed.
Tonight's menu is a hodge podge of random items all fried up together that need eating up, so tomorrow we can start back as normal.
