I encourage everyone to go to city council meetings. Right-wingers are, and they are successfully removing LGBTQ books from public libraries.
These fascists might have the right to determine what THEIR children read, but they don't get to say what can be read AT ALL.

Now, Trump is doing the same, digitally burning all records of transgender people and striking the community from records.
This must be seen for what it is: a move towards atrocity.

2. Why is it important? Not because a 300 person protest is going to change anything by itself.
It's important because it normalizes protest. It helps train people for how to do it. It builds community.
And sets the stage for the really big ones we will need when the moment demands it.
1. Protests are happening literally every day these days. Trans rights protests. Protests against Musk. Heck, over a thousand people showed up for a protest at the Treasury.
I advise everyone, especially people who don't usually, to find any of them and just go to one.
It's important.
