thinking about pokets's comics about goblins and witches (and other fantasy creatures), and while they absolutely have funny dialogue, they also have great visual gags, like that one comic abou a crow-girl witch stuck in the field with scare-crow 8'D

GOD yeah, I keep hoping it'll return in one form or another someday, through other new sites or whatever. it was my go to site for background music for a long time, and I loved making my own playlists, still have some of them saved in .txt files as songs lists 😫😭💔

but I mean yeah, idk what ppl actually think about me reading my list of fav stuff. as you said, it's very subjective. and I don't expect ppl to "know" me through this, after all liking something doesn't neccessary say anything about my character. tho I tend to think all HQ fans are good peeps 8')

the lists of 10 may also add context and additional info. like, in my list Haikyuu!! would be the only sports anime, and only a 2nd shounen. I'd like to think ppl would clock me for having a thing for emotionally intelligent stories/characters.

in Escaflowne's case, I'd expect ppl to think something like: she's an older (30+ y/o) fan, likes original anime, likes romance and "beautiful" aesthetics of it, likes political drama, probably a Yoko Kanno fan, may be a big sap, loves complicated characters/plotlines.

it's all just art. "porn" is just art that makes you horny, in precisely the way that "horror" is art that makes you scared and "metroidvania" is art that makes you write video essays

I usually think of questions like that (things to get to know me) as a combination of 1) things I like 2) that are explicitly to my taste, so much so it kinda defines me.
like, I really love Evangelion, but The Vision of Escaflowne would be my top 1 mecha anime, and it say a lot about me imo. 8')
