Very good news. Vital for European research especially with the increase in applicants and the recently announced augmentation of grant size. Success rate must be maintained above 10% and should be above 20%. This is the only way to maintain faire system supporting broadly impactful research.
Very promising news on the next seven-year EU budget, with a proposed substantial increase for Horizon Europe including the ERC.
We are analysing the other parts of this proposal in more detail.
