STRONG agree. Simply locking stuff behind exploration, encouraging players to actually look through the world around them, to locking content behind decisions and necessitating future playthroughs, is totally freaking okay. Games are fun to explore fully :3
"Making [thing] missable is unfair to the player" possibly, yes. However, a. the idea a player MUST have access to 100% of a game's content at all times regardless of choices made is an unreasonable constraint in many contexts; and b. achievement-hunter culture is a disease.
