Snowpiercer (Bong Joon Ho, 2013; Radius-TWC (currently by Lionsgate)) - 9/10
Really amazing Korean and American co-produced action thriller movie with Chris Evans proving he can act! Also that Joon Ho guy is going places
Snowpiercer (Bong Joon Ho, 2013; Radius-TWC (currently by Lionsgate)) - 9/10
Really amazing Korean and American co-produced action thriller movie with Chris Evans proving he can act! Also that Joon Ho guy is going places
Friday the 13th Part III (Steve Miner, 1982; Paramount) - 5/10
Very mediocre movie in the Friday the 13th movies but very campy nonetheless cuz of hilariously silly 3D shots alone
Logan's Run (Michael Anderson, 1976; MGM) - 6/10
Corny but kinda fun and entertaining sci-fi romp
My Top 20 Best Picture winners
The Secret Agent (Kleber Mendonça Filho, 2025; Neon) - 8/10, closer to a 7
Probably one of the lightest 8/10 films I ever watched
The Twelve Chairs (Mel Brooks, 1970; UMC) - Light 6/10
Didn't mind this movie, but not as hilarious as some Mel Brooks directed movies
Toy Story 2 (John Lasseter, 1999; Disney/Pixar) - 10/10
Yup, still a perfect sequel to the groundbreaking animated feature. Read my in-depth review: boxd.it/du76JT
The Untouchables (Brian De Palma, 1987; Paramount) - 9/10
"Did he sound anything like that?!"
Thanks y'all for 8K subs on YouTube!
Born in East L.A. (Cheech Marin, 1987; Universal) - 7/10
This was very underrated, Cheech Marin was superb in his acting and direction. Still crazy that I somehow forgot that Jason Scott Lee made his film debut in this
Super Fly (Gordon Parks Jr., 1972; Warner Bros.) - 8/10
Kinda dug this blaxploitation movie. The soundtrack was absolutely the killer for the entire movie
Sentimental Value (Joachim Trier, 2025; Neon/Nordisk Film) - 9/10
Very well crafted and emotional Norwegian movie that was very well acted, a lot of tension, and very well scripted and directed by Joachim Trier, hell even Stellan SkarsgΓ₯rd is absolutely flawless in his supporting performance
Genuinely what is Monsters, Inc. 3 even going to be about? Enlighten me.
But for 2 Pixar originals Ono Ghost Market and Pixar's first-ever musical (the latter directed by Domee Shi), what can I say other than "I'm in."
Picked up two DVDs at Goodwill and the latter movie at B&N. I have been meaning to watch Marcel the Shell with Shoes On for years, but now I got the 4K I am definitely gonna watch it this month
Train Dreams (Clint Bentley, 2025; Netflix/Black Bear) - 9/10
Very breathtaking and wonderful movie that went so gut-wrenching. Cinematography and the "Train Dreams" song, perfection.
If that means the THX sound system finally coming back to movie theaters entirely, my life is complete
War Horse (Steven Spielberg, 2011; Touchstone/DreamWorks) - 7/10
Not really groundbreaking of this film, but still was a good Spielberg film about World War I with stunningly beautiful cinematography and pretty good production design
I've seen two more of the Truffaut movies for the first time last night, The 400 Blows (1959) and Jules and Jim (1962).
The 400 Blows is an early banger for Truffaut. Strong 9/10
Jules and Jim is basically the OG version of Challengers but set in the war. 9/10
Rush Hour (Brett Ratner, 1998; New Line Cinema) - 8/10
Still a great buddy cop comedy flick with Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker having great chemistry, the action is fun, climax is amazing, and humor gave me a chuckle
Whoever added the very first YT video here is a legend
Hamnet (ChloΓ© Zhao, 2025; Focus Features/Amblin) - 9/10
This was actually a really amazing ChloΓ© Zhao movie. Jessie Buckley actually did her phenomenal performance, she needs to win an Oscar for Best Actress!
Mercy (Timur Bekmambetov, 2026; Amazon MGM) - 5/10
Chris Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson are kinda good and I guess the premise kinda tried to have the decent mystery, but sadly I mostly found the movie kinda dull and I could have been rewatching Minority Report instead
Hoppers (Daniel Chong, 2026; Disney/Pixar) - 9/10
Wow, what an amazing experience transferring my consciousness to this movie early in 3D 4DX that turned out completely bonkers.
The Broadway Melody (Harry Beaumont, 1929; Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (currently by WB)) - 4/10
Even if I respect the historical significance of being an early example of an early Hollywood film, I'm sorry but I genuinely got nothing while watching this second Best Picture winner :/
PokΓ©mon: The First Movie (Kunihiko Yuyama, 1999; WB/4Kids) - 7/10
Very good first PokΓ©mon movie. I also watched the Pikachu short Pikachu's Vacation before this movie and it was cute and very fun.
Fahrenheit 451 (François Truffaut, 1966; Universal) - 8/10
My first time watching a François Truffaut movie. A great movie that clearly understands the original source material. I read the OG book at high school before and it was a pretty good book
My 3D Mario platformer tier list so far
SPOILER ALERT: I got one of the games today that I will show later
With Disney/Pixar's WALL-E and Netflix/Sony Pictures Animation's KPop Demon Hunters being part of the Criterion lineup, which mainstream animated feature do you think should be added into the Criterion Collection?
I'll start:
Nice to know that Sony Pictures Animation decided to hop in the Criterion physical media lineup after seeing Pixar's WALL-E being part of the lineup
