Apparently* Damien Grant is dissing Aotearoa's Covid response in Stuff today on behalf of his sponsors, and he somehow decided Sweden spent zero money on theirs.
It spend THE SAME AS NZ BUT LOST 20,000 EXTRA LIVES.
Thanks Stuff for printing more ace punditry.

Seven years since the Christchurch massacre. Still can’t get my head around how people shrug their shoulders about it. It will always horrify and sadden me. RIP

My youngest son had a suspected concussion and when they asked him he paused and said “that asshole!” The nurse nodded.

Marty Mauser is the most profoundly unlikable protagonist I think I’ve ever seen in a film. And I know people will argue that he’s supposed to be unlikable, but the movie seems to want me to believe he went through some sort of character journey and is a better person toward the end of it. I do not.

"We started a war of aggression for no reason & commenced it by accidentally bombing an elementary school & killing over 100 kids."
That simple fact is so horrific that it's just kind of bouncing on the surface of our collective consciousness. We can't absorb its full implications & significance.

Stuff headline
The Covid immunity cycle: Why catching the virus is basically our new booster
Lloyd Burr
March 12, 2026 • 4:00am
🚨 If anyone has contacts at Stuff to get this headline updated urgently please do so.
Expert advice is that getting Covid repeatedly is not like building immunity, it's more like accumulating damage. Each infection raises your risk of long Covid and serious complications.
This is unacceptable.

Greenpeace calls for government to drastically cut legal limit of nitrates in drinking water
It comes after the Danish government significantly cut its legal limit.
Rural New Zealand's drinking water is being poisoned by dairy industry nitrate. People's health is threatened. And our Govt refuses to act.
We're calling for legal limits for drinking water nitrate to be lowered to under 1 mg/L - just as Denmark intends to do.

These files confirm that Mandelson's malign influence runs through this Labour government.
Starmer knew exactly the choice he was making when he appointed him. He has to go.

someone should probably tell australia that granting asylum to a sports team while trying to ban refugees from *the exact same country* doesn't look good. In fact, it looks quite bad.

NZ'ers are paying $3 a litre for petrol. Did Luxon's Govt make this situation worse? Let's check the receipts:
1) They collapsed the EV market in NZ by killing the clean car discount + making fees to import gas guzzling cars nearly 80% cheaper. EV sales dropped 70% in NZ while globally sales rose

Anyone who says our Covid response was bad as opposed to one of a handful of the best responses in the world, doesn't understand the Covid Royal Commission's report and votes RW which is also caused by not understanding things #NZPol

Let's talk about what happens when oil prices go through the roof and stay there - because it really isn't pretty, it's going to hit our economy incredibly hard, and it's only peripherally about how much it costs to fill the tank.
