"That's obviously an exponential effect for how long the outage continues. One day wouldn't have been a big deal. One week? Probably okay. Once you get to two, three, four weeks, then we really have a global problem in a very big way."

Natural gas supply shocks have stagflationary effects in the €zone. A 10% increase in gas prices raises core prices by ~0.5% and reduces economic activity. Gas shocks pass through to core prices more strongly than oil shocks, due to role of gas in European electricity production

Experienced white-collar workers are now part of a miserable gig economy.

Possibly bad surprises on store. As our knowledge get better about tipping points, the thresholds are getting lower... now the data suggests Western Antarctic Ice Sheet collapse might happen even with 1-2C global warming..
(And that will cause major sea level rise...)

T.E. Lawrence (of Arabia) and his Arab army dynamited wells used by the Ottoman forces to deny them vital drinking water and force their retreat (or at least deny them forward operating posts).
This is just the modern day equivalent of an age-old tactic (illegal though it is).

This is not wise thing to do in current time... the sky is already full on all kinds of satellites etc. (there is not much space around the earth to speak of for this kind of effort unless they are thinking ruining the other satellites). And the environmental cost is going to be huge.
