This is a technical story with stunning strategic implications. It is quite possible the US launched a massive war because Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff lacked the technical expertise to even understand what the Iranians were offering in negotiations. Absolute idiocy.

Outfall from the Iran crisis starts to be visible in Far East... (as most oil from the mid-East is usually transported there). we'll see what happens when China starts being affected (soon)... Whether they will try to mediate the conflict, go for Russian oil, or what?

This is not good (regardless of that the Iranian regime is dreadful). The war will make the water shortages so much worse. In all of the region (and different nations are blowing up adversaries desalination plants in addition, as part of this war...)

This is not wise thing to do in current time... the sky is already full on all kinds of satellites etc. (there is not much space around the earth to speak of for this kind of effort unless they are thinking ruining the other satellites). And the environmental cost is going to be huge.
Yes, this is what scares me. We are not ready for it.
