When I lived on the rez we had to combine groceries on EBT and commodity food between households because you can't have both. When we lived in the city we combined EBT and the food bank. This didn't just go away, several family members do the same in their households and get even less food.

For the last several years a handful of food items have been staples of my diet; primarily lentils, chicken leg quarters, beans, rice, and ramen noodles.

Over the last few years the price of lentils has nearly doubled; beans and ramen have increased 50%; rice has increased around 25%.
