This was also in response to Petty trying to get King to stop when he was saying the Public Safety Cmte was impotent (tying it to the decision for who it is composed of) Toomey and others were motioning for Petty to declare it as engaging in personalities.
For those not in the room I would say King was increasingly agitated as he made his request for Petty to address the floor and motioned for him to come down and Petty responded with “don’t threaten me”
Bergman said there are a lot of things in Worcester that people can be proud of like the creation of candlepin bowling and its unique history. His order is sent to manager.

They have been on King's motion to Request City Manager provide City Council with a report detailing all city Board and Commission applications and denials. The motion to file failed with Mero-Carlson not in the room. It goes to manager

So this is the salary ordinance, but the contract has already been approved by council. Nguyen will hold.
Clerk is saying Nguyen cannot hold Batista's contract item because they voted on the language last week
The Project Priceless abuse, shelter, decriminalize and reparations are sent forward for responses from manager unanimously (Toomey seemed to wonder if she had held some). Shelter will also be discussed by Public Health
Toomey said it is her intention with community, admin and police who are doing the right thing. She said this discussion is hard, saying she has been abused herself

The community is asking how they can work together to make the changes needed. Saucier has made great changes, Mero-Carlson said.
Mero-Carlson said it has been a heavy day and years for community issues
Pacillo said she looks forward to good cops being part of the process.
Pacillo expresses gratitude for groups that brought these issues forwards and supports a shelter for women.
Ojeda wants to take the shelter item to Public Health. He also said Public Safety will work towards what comes next.
Nguyen holds Batista's contract order
Nguyen asks if Batista is committed to doing this. Batista said he is as evidence by his tenure as manager. Nguyen asks if he is committed to Project Priceless' demands
There's a lot of talk in the chamber, Batista is describing his efforts to find shelter and the need that exists
King and Toomey are crosstalking
Nguyen said the city "fucked up"
Toomey holds the Project Priceless petition. Not clear how many were held. She said there is a lot to go through and there were personal statements. King stormed out
King is getting very angry with Petty about rules. I guess Petty is finding King's statement on the committee personal
He calls for all the police officers to be educated to the facts of the investigation
King said systemic changes and civilian oversight are necessary. He supports Project Priceless' asks
King said the Public Safety Committee's input in impotent. Heard a scoff across the room.
King said the experience of sex workers is varied. He said it is men who primarily purchase those services and this will not stop until men stop. He motions to support and see a homeless shelter for women.
