Fugazi have finally unearthed the long-unreleased version of In on the Kill Taker they recorded with Steve Albini in 1992.
Proceeds from the release will benefit the Letters Charity, which provides direct assistance to families facing urgent financial hardship, and was near and dear to Albini.

Great review. Saw it last night and loved it. A really sensory feast. Definite Tarkovsky vibes in the final moments.
Sound of Falling review - Mascha Schilinski follows four generations of young women through coming-of-age stories tinged by mortality and miracles

Hadn't realised it was 30 years ago - alot of albums have passed under the bridge in that time. Ta @thequietus.com for reprinting this.
Great record. Unlike many of its contemporaries* it stands up beautifully.
*noticeable lack of cocaine bass and shallow, student lyrics
Luckily enough to see Mascha Schilinskiβs mesmerising Sound Of Water on the big screen last night. Highly atmospheric, haunted masterpiece with a time fractured narrative, with touches of Tarkovsky and Haneke and the sound soundscapes of Lynch. Possibly the quietest film Iβve ever seen in a cinema.
π¨ It looks like the UK government is gearing up to upend copyright law in favour of AI companies, legalising the theft of their work.
This is despite creatives' huge protests, and despite previous proposals being roundly rejected by the public.
Please spread the word.

Wonderful performance from Jonny Greenwood and the HallΓ© Orchestra at Bridgewater Hall, Manchester. New piece, Violin Concerto is a stunning dynamic mix of ominous decaying strings, acoustic-almost electronic- soundscapes and flourishes of beautiful sombre melancholy.
I did this, and suddenly the world was a brighter place.
I agree with all of this

Caught a preview of Sirat tonight ahead of its UK release.
An absolutely stunning, searing piece of cinema. Deserves to be seen on the big screen with the best sound system you can find.
Soundtrack of the year.

RIP one of the true greats
Itβs most definitely Lynchβs most challenging film but I really like it. However, when I saw it again recently, some members of audience didnβt share my appreciationβ¦

A gentle giant, Tom Noonan was a singular character actor in Manhunter, Heat, Last Action Hero, and Synecdoche, New York, and the writer-director-star (+ more) behind What Happened Was....
An imposing presence with rare depth and intelligence, he will be missed.

Got 2 copies on pre-order. Canβt wait to dive in!
Watched Boogie Nights the other night too (still great) and reminded of what a huge loss to cinema his passing was.
