That isn’t really a spoiler either, the first story lays that out pretty quickly.
Brutal Kunnin’ is also an excellent read, an Ork attack on a Mechanicus installation from mostly an Orks perspective.
I could definitely see Nathan Fillion in the role. The idea is he was a commissar who was a war hero of incredible courage and esteem. At the end of his life he wrote a true accounting of his adventures and if anyone ever read it, they would learn he was mostly a horny, cowardly scoundrel.
I finished Hereticus, not read Magos yet. I don’t like him but I do enjoy reading stories about him.
I recommend the Ciaphas Cain novels if you haven’t read them yet.
Hahaha! I just bought that last night after I got the “back in stock” email.
I mostly didn’t pay attention until the Hyperloop. Watching him hype that while slowly degrading it down to “a tunnel you can drive your Tesla through” made it painfully obvious.

Beginning of February 2023 I decided I would like to custom make a piece of Warhammer 40k terrain so I could take some nice photos of my painted minis. Somehow that turned into a three level monstrosity made of mostly recycled plastic and bits I found on the ground.
I think you would make a great Dread Pirate Roberts.
