The unfolding existential attack on Rojava isn‘t „simply“ a story of territorial loss, it's an attack on a collective archive of resistance, on imaginaries of freedom, on the memory of our beloved we lost on the way, on hopes for a future, hopes for overdue justice and lived practices of democracy.
While Western media celebrate the 'rebels' victory, these Turkey-supported jihadists are attacking the most advanced democratic and feminist society in the world.
But Turkey is a NATO member, so nobody's talking.

🌱 Then, through our empirical analysis, we find that those who share caring values tend to (1) come from subaltern backgrounds and face challenges depending on gender and race, (2) work in certain jobs involving some form of care, and (3) hold left-wing beliefs. (3/3)
