Autism awareness has gone so far it’s starting to flatten what autism really is. It’s more than noise sensitivity or quirks. It’s a complex condition, and reducing it to clichés only harms those actually living with it.

Parents need to realise that an EHCP is not a magic wand. As a parent with a child with an EHCP I want it scrapped. It's a waste of time. The school knows what my child needs in their education. The council knows nothing. It needs reform.
Yeah, probably didn’t word it perfectly, but you get what I meant! Landlords charging way more than housing associations doesn’t really add up. Better?
Most lower cost social housing is owned by private housing associations. They have significant costs yet still managed it. Why is a HA house £3-400 cheaper a month than a private let? I'd say it's pure greed from the landlords and profiteering off other people's lack of luck and funds.
I shouldn't have to pay for something I don't watch. I also find the constant threatening letters insulting. I used to get them when I didn't have a TV in the early 2000s and still get them now. Put it on general taxation and be done with it.
That's very interesting. Since I am left leaning this is a comfort for me as well as Open AI ripping off JK Rowling 😁
It saves me loads of time at work and isn't emotional. I can give it facts and figures without me unconsciously putting my emotions into it. Which is very important in my work. Sometimes it's hard to put how you feel into words you know what you want to say but can't quite put it down on paper
Teachers shouldn't be teaching life skills, that is for the parents to do. Why bother taking responsibility anymore as a parent when schools can just do it for you?
Wealth needs to be distributed better. Rich people can't spend that much money yet those that are poorer are likely to buy other goods that will filter down to other businesses, thus building the economy. I can't buy the goods that these hard working entrepreneurs have if I lack money.
My mum made me a beautiful cable knit wool jumper for Christmas. I washed it after one wear and ruined it. I was not aware in my 20s that wool shouldn't be washed. Still regret it now. But the idea of not washing something is frankly quite gross.
Good these monsters need to be punished somehow because the justice system surely isn't !
Gopi Hinduja-family business. Len Blavatnik-Rich off the collapse of USSR. Duke of Westminster-inheritance of 9 billion. Prince Charles-Duh! Harry Styles-got lucky on a talent show. James Dyson-Wifes money. I'll give you Jim Ratcliff, he seems ok.
You appear to believe that Tesco workers don't work hard and are somehow less than those because they don't have the intelligence of "hard working" entrepreneurs. I suggest it is not hard work but an element of luck that makes them rich. Yes I work in care, because I love it, I like helping people.
What a horrid person you are. I've just done a 32 hour shift (with a sleep I will add) for £13.03 an hour. Tell me to my face that I didn't work hard. 9am until 11pm then I sleep until 7am wake up and work until 5:15pm. That's at work and I'm expected to wake if I'm needed by a service user.
Elon Musk was lucky to get all that mining money. Jeff Bezos got $300,000 from his parents. Rishi Sunak was lucky enough to attend Winchester College. For every hard working entrepreneur there are 1000s who worked just as hard and got nothing. Some like Trevor Bayliss worked hard because it was kind
Lots of people graft hard everyday. Those that work in the care sector, unpaid carers, zero hour jobs, Supermarket workers. I dare you to go and tell them that if they just worked harder they could also be wealthy. What a load of rubbish! Most just get lucky!
@greenparty.org.uk @zackpolanski.bsky.social Just had a lovely call from Ceri to talk to me about the Green Party in Lancaster and Morecambe. I think she might have persuaded me to consider setting up a community cupboard in my village. Glad I joined...I think 🤔
Is this the divorced former comedy writer? Remember he is divorced...
Yesterday it took me 1hr to go 1 mile. I would have welcomed driverless cars as every moron tried to use every rat run and push in and drive badly, and then move lanes to go a yard in front and then realize they're in the wrong lane and move back slowing everyone else down.
I have joined. I have become disillusioned by the Lib Dems recently, although I do like their politicians I just don't feel they represent me at the moment.
I work in a refuge and we have to navigate this all the time. It's frustrating especially when the children are clearly traumatised and having to have contact with someone who they saw abusing their parent.
I think managers make us feel like this. My manager sent me some flowers with this card the other day. I don't have imposter syndrome. I feel worthwhile and respected in work
I take my shoes off at work in the evening as they make a lot of noise in the corridors when I work nights. I don't want to wake people up. But I wouldn't do it any other time.
I think Angela Rayner got off lightly. She should stay on the back benches for a little longer and let people forget that the secretary of state for housing ever made that silly mistake. It wasn't exactly the first time she'd been in a sticky situation with her housing choices.
I loved my job in caring. If I didn't currently have my job now which I love equally I'd go back to it in a heartbeat. It's a shame that the pay and conditions are so poor, but I think that's standard in most jobs now.
I don't wear trousers. I am comfortable in dresses and skirts and that's brilliant. Just be who you want to be. People can wear what they want to...well in some places anyway.
I want social housing built. Not the "dream" of owning your own home. Or even the ability for people to actually afford rents instead of the tax payer lining the pockets of landlords with housing benefit payments. Everyone should have a home. It's a right not a luxury.
Depends how rich I feel at the time.
It would be very useful for people who don't have ID. I'm trying to open a bank account for my disabled son. It's such a ball ache as he has no ID.
No it's not persimmon. It's actually pretty good. Not had any issues in the 3 years I've lived here. It is social housing though, less about profit
