A circular illustration of 19 colorful different species of invertebrates across various phyla (arthropods, cnidarians, echinoderms, sponges, mollusks, annelids, flatworms). Black arching text surrounding them reads β€œCelebrate Invertebrate Biodiversity”. They are illustrated on a light blue background.

If you want a book like this now, read @beebrookshire.bsky.social’s Pests. It’s excellent.

The Polish Phrase That Will Help You Through Tough Times In Poland, the concept of β€˜JakoΕ› to bΔ™dzie’ is acting without worrying about the consequences. It’s reaching for the impossible. It’s taking risks, and not being afraid.

Really liked this article and learning more about Polish culture. It's about the Polish Version of what taking a leap of faith means to them.

a simple tutorial on how to draw a medieval cat. step 1 shows a basic β€œnormal cat" with no details. step 2 shows the same cat but with a "human face" added, featuring a straight mouth and serious eyes. the final drawing combines both elements β€” a cat with a human-like face, surrounded by sparkles ✨

a vibrantly colored work in progress illustration focusing on the face and hand of a man holding a quill. His eyes are bloodshot rainbows, his skin is blue and his hand is wearing a bright red glove. There's a ribbon of darkness coming from the tip of the quill

Four panel comic with two figures talking. Panel 1: figure in black "How are things going?". Panel 2: figure in red "well...". Panel 3: shows a giant swirling black cloud above with lightning coming out - red figure '... aside from the gaping maw of existential apocalypse looming overhead...'. Panel 4: red figure '... pretty good. Can't complain.'

My friends and I loved this book so much!

The book itself was amazing, but being able to see my feinds really think and appreciate the world differently after reading is priceless.

As a biologist, it was super special to see my friends get it. You're an amazing author! πŸ’œ

A two frame illustration depicting Tiktaalik roseae. The first shows a black and white line art of a Late Devonian landscape. The second is a close of up Tiktaalik with orange and green to highlight different aspects of the anatomy. The different colors went with different parts of the original presentation these illustrations were drawn for.

*Some of the traits are over simplified or not fully scientifically accurate.

Shows a Tiktaalik 'fin' compared to human anatomy.

My favorite part was adding @nshubin.bsky.social into the drawing as a fun to add a segway into shouting him out lol
