I started attending art school in 2009 and that year the equipment department bought about 20 5D mkIIs. I wouldn’t be where I am today without free and easy access to those magical cameras.

A lot of modern vegan options are just as good and omit one gross thing from the original, making them better. Sausage minus the grease, eggs minus the stank, etc.

Beyond sausage is fantastic in a roll or chopped up.

I spent 5 days in the hospital a few years ago and I watched the entire Netflix Bob & David sketch series each of the 5 days. No laughter, no joy, just strange comfort and familiarity.

As someone who’s had a few extended hospital stays post-surgery I can say with confidence that your brain will send you to some weird places for comfort viewing. Don’t fight it, just go with it even if it doesn’t make sense.

To be fair, small business owners who use any kind of app for business, scheduling, crms, etc. are being harassed by those apps to use their new ai features which are all terrible. Ai Concierges and whatnot.

I was raised well so it wasn’t a big deal to learn about trans people existing. Just another type of person to learn about. The first time I heard about a (fictional) trans person was in The World According to Garp.

I photographed a wedding once and 30 different people in attendance stopped me to ask me if I followed the NHL because I look just like Aston Matthews. I shudder every time I see this man in any context.

It’s actually shocking to see an elected official with a backbone actually standing up against bullshit AND defending a colleague.

I want to like Bluesky so much but 1. It’s hard to find my friends even though I know that a ton of them have migrated over from the bad places and 2. It is terrible at recommending accounts to follow.

I love how so many American photographic legends have a wonderful collection of published work and then one booked called “Girls Butts Are Nice” or whatever that we don’t talk about as much.
