... are key to achieving inclusive digital planning. The design of inclusive digital planning tools is not limited to software features but also relates to hardware functionalities and the environment in which a tool is used.
People with disabilities are experts who should contribute to the design of public spaces and digital planning tools. Taking the lessons learned from the co-design process, we argue that digital, physical, social and procedural accessibility ...
The co-design process served to identify barriers and obstacles to the accessibility of public spaces and user requirements for the inclusive design of the collaborative mapping tool. The tool was tested and evaluated with people with disabilities and municipal planners from Zwolle.
Happy to share our research on developing an inclusive digital tool for urban planning in Computers, Environment and Urban Systems. With Johannes Flacke and Karin Pfeffer @utwente.bsky.social and a fantastic group of co-researchers from Toegankelijk Zwolle

This. Protect trans kids. Protect trans rights. Gender is a spectrum. Trans women are women. Trans men are men. Non-binary people exist. Inter-sex & DSD people exist. Gender-non-conforming people exist. Transphobia is anti-feminist. Laws are often wrong and unjust. We must fight for a fairer future.
