The performance uplift for back compat even in handheld mode is enough to get me interested. Bought the original Hyrule Warriors for the first time and was shocked that the framerates drop down to single digits in handheld mode on SW1
1080p downscaled to 720p for some reason
If you drink something like this while eating Taco Bell and *don't* expect your entrails to explosively fall out of your ass, I dunno what to tell you
Natural selection got your ass
I would like to have the institutions and entities meant to facilitate my actions and livelihood to facilitate said actions and livelihood
Doing otherwise defeats the point of the whole system
The government is asking for public comments on whether banks should be able to deny you from buying legal goods at their own whim (i.e. how they're cracking down on art)
Tell them you don't want to be told how to spend your money

Blaz is built different
A lot of the friction comes from resource management and space control, as opposed to having to wrestle with a control scheme made for the gamecube
These elements are in the original, but they're focused on a lot more in the remake, and generally done better imo
Never been one for Resident Evil 4, but I've been on a replay of the remake, and it's been clicking a good deal more for me than the original did
The revamp in how Leon handles does a lot, but I think the risk reward game is handled a lot better with the addition of the knife system
Praying this one has a happy ending. It's absolutely shameful it's been this much of a goose chase
This is what we call "good ol' reliable"
It's insane how fast the enjoyability of watching fighting game events has gone down hill
You dipshits get *one* hit success of a game, and you start immediately self-cannibalizing your own word of mouth
Suppor your fucking locals if you can, and don't watch the Capcom Cup PPV
"Eat your veggies" says man that has consumed enough beef to sustain a farm
I'm like 90% sure this is because the current ceo is a finance guy and not someone from the dev side
Iwata died before the Switch 1 came out, but everything for it was likely laid out before his passing. His fingerprints were all over it
Everything about Switch 2 has felt like a money man did it
Do you believe in love on the battlefield?
I know calling reps is very nerve racking. You're not sure what's the right thing to say, and tbh having a script thrown at me makes things just as nerve racking.
I called today, and I figured I'd write up a transcript of how my call went down. Hopefully it helps demystify the process
Did a combination of laughng and sighing at this one
And according to a brief google search
Huh
. . . Yamcha is taller than Goku???
Happy International Womenβs Day !

We should get extra serious about planning a general strike across the country.
Hero shooters like overwatch or rivals can skirt around that by having characters and team comps that can completely change how you have to approach the game, but most games don't do that because they're too obsessed with loot and item progression
Doesn't really incentivize different playstyles
The difference between old mega games and new ones is that the old ones used to be "mega" in that they were like 5 games in one through modes and customization
Now "mega" games have, like, one real mode / way to play despite an abundance of systems, or don't force you into one or the other
I *love* having to use a touch screen UI with a leverless, it's such a wonderful experience
And those options are limited to Nintendo, Capcom, and somehow Konami of all things if they keep their current streak going
Hey so can someone tell me why we should even pay attention to the trailers at events like The Game Awards when those games won't even come out?
I think part of that for Splatoon can be chalked up to it starting on the Wii U because I remember Splatoon 1 was poppin' for a good while for a console with such a small install base
The other part is that I didn't even know Splatoon 3 came out or that there even was one until it got dlc patches
Wasn't defending netease, was just explaining that there's likely more of these moves from them pre-locked in the chamber
Helps when you make games whose budgets probably don't even register on Netease's spreadsheets
Nestease got most of these projects *YEARS* ago, iirc. They've likely made the decision to shutter most of them long before revealing them, too, since it came out that they wanted to do the same thing to Marvel Rivals of all games
