I forgot that one time a student kept trying to take my phone away so that he could watch a youtube video on it. dead ass he looked at my lock screen, which is Nana from Revue Starlight then went “why do you have anime shit as your lockscreen”

student was here today; i just let her color the entire time (she’s only here for a few periods) because she seemed anxious so we just colored together

plus i instantly recognize when she starts to get overwhelmed & anxious, which i redirect her behavior towards something i know she likes (ex; “do you want to take a break now?” or “we can color together if you’d want.”)

it also is important to note i don’t think it was a coincidence that the ONE time (literally) I wasn’t there at work, she lost her temper. i’m really good with her because we just talk, and i think that regulates and soothes her

so like last week a student lost her temper, and had a pretty bad reaction towards the teacher I’m under
honestly though i’m just going to treat her the same i always have and thankfully i already know how to calm her down.

since i’ve been forcing myself to learn japanese i’ve genuinely just been watching minecraft videos completely in japanese (no subtitles) and honestly its fun

i did want to replay higurashi but also I need to finish Episode 4 of Umineko. Badly.

I mainly feel like he simplifies the hands, because then your attention is more on the dynamic poses & expressions. His drawings tell a LOT about the character so easily. In my opinion

The Console sprites aren’t too bad, but the extreme expressions just don’t match with that style. I also hate when people say that the hands are “lazy” because they’re mitten-hands.
I really don’t think so and I hard disagree because they do seem grounded in actual anatomy, and works with the style

actually if I may I will rant because I’m so WTC minded right now
anyway to me I love the Higurashi & Umineko OG sprites SO MUCH. To me they’re just so dynamic in comparison to the other versions. Like the poses, and expressions. (continued in comments.)

Today some paper or I think IEP said “If the student growls, then that means they need a break.” And my boss & I started dying. She went “Uh… Yeah. I think if anyone starts growling they need a break.”
Then I told her: “Next time I need a break I’ll just growl at you.”
