My mother and MIL died of Alzheimer's. Trump's regime wants to stop scientific research. Too late for HIS dementia, but not too late (hopefully) for my potential descent into this hideous condition.

My brilliant (graduated from Vassar at 19) mother died from Alzheimer's, as did my MIL. I am terrified of becoming as debilitated as they were, as they were of the generation that had amazing insurance and decent savings and could afford care. I can't do the same.

I have an old Prius that gets between 40-50 mpg. I'm not as affected, but I know people who drive trucks (they don't need the truck for work, but they bought into the 'Murica" mindset). Now they can't afford a new car and are having to cut back on other expenses while paying exorbitant gas prices.

Many people, like me, look white but are part black. My family is every shade of human and I lovelovelove that. That idiot is missing out on the true, beautiful American experience. My adage is avoid schmucks and talk with people; most are worth knowing!
