One of the things abt watching murder mystery shows is how convincing the makeup is.

I think it's like my theater classes where the professor said that afterwards, you'd never watch it the same bc you'd be also watching for *how* they did the things.

I've seen lots of Face/Off. I judge the makeup.

Funny how men keep revealing truth they don't want to admit in how they reframe it.

*The closer to equality women get, the more unhappy men become.*

A closeup of a piece of Ethiopian opal. For scale, the rock is about half the size of my thumbnail. The side showing is mostly a white blue sparkly opal, but the other sides are mostly rock.

It's Ethiopian opal. I'm pretty sure she took pity on me, but like I said - I have no concept of what a gram is, so I couldn't guess how much. She pulled it from the $5/gram box that I couldn't reach bc these old people were standing around it forever. I could only reach the $12 & $15 trays in my πŸ‘©β€πŸ¦½.

I got a North American road atlas bc I still dream of exploring even if my body & bank account can't. Except I want it to be magical where it let's me explore everywhere from here anyway, so maybe that's not gonna help...
(Bc the internet is & always will be reliable... πŸ™„)

I have no concept of what a gram is. I pushed my body (bad health) to go see pretty rocks at a show and maybe get a few, and the opal table had me 😰 when I heard the price, bc they seemed so small. She found a smaller, cheaper one I could handle (I was just looking for a piece, not for jewelry.)

In the murder suicide pattern, if he thought he was facing irretrievable defeat, he would rage and choose that as a way to take back control (as all such people do). The thing is, his narcissism is so deep that he has no room in his perception to comprehend that possibly, so I think it unlikely.

... my earthquakes and volcanoes class was decades ago, but I clearly recall when the professor talked about it being not uncommon for vulcanologists (I think that's how you spell it?) to die bc they got too close where the air gets too hot and thin. Lured close trying to get better film & stats.

I suspect Mike Johnson has been counting on that from the beginning. I think that's why he's been so willing to give away so much congressional power. He prob thinks he's gonna have it for himself thanks to succession.

All the cop shows love number 3.

And whatever you'd call the abuse they do in interrogation.

The whole time I was watching 24 (binged well after it aired) I kept pondering if it was really saving anything if it was going to those lengths to preserve it.

Now we're here and I realize the next question is: what are we actually trying to preserve?

But neuro typicals fail to empathize with us bc they fail to imagine anything beyond their own experience in what they see and assume that of we talk and learn to understand them & don't overly complicate *their* lives - we can't really be autistic.
Bc it's really about their experience. Not ours.

I'm really good at figuring people patterns out now only bc I realized as a kid that books would show me the step by step patterns of thoughts ➑️ words ➑️ actions ➑️ reactions ➑️ conclusions. People don't do that in real life and NTs live by arbitrary assumptions that contradict your words.

All these people commenting like the fact that we talk and mostly survived school and work (but they never asked the cost of recovery) must mean it's only the one superficial thing they bothered to notice.

Try always being confused bc cause & effect, people's reactions were always illogical!

I notice it with the TV. Some days it's way too loud. Turn it down. Days later, I can't hear it - turn it back up.

Light does the same thing. Extra shades & hats bc light hits like my pupils just got dilated at the eye Dr. It hurts. Some days I can open the blinds. Most, it's too bright.

Seriously. I don't drink alcohol, but when sound gets too loud, it looks exactly like how everyone complains about volume when they have a hangover. My brain can't balance the sound properly and trying to act like everything is normal while my insides vibrate is exactly what masking means.

I can’t stop thinking of the health consequences of the bombing of oil depots, especially when multiple hospitals are not functioning due to damage. Lives lost due to respiratory exacerbation in the context of reduced healthcare access are also casualties in this war.

I'm just stuck in that interested in almost everything and comfortable as a student mode, so I follow all the smart professor PhD people and ask questions that I hope don't sound stupid (and I hope the answers don't totally overwhelm my otherwise limited capacity) or annoy them for loitering.

I loved the Being Ace book. I'll have to see if I can find this one. My only complaint with the other one was that the text was so tiny, it was really hard on my eyes.

Ow.
Only one πŸ₯š broke.

As much as I hurt now, tomorrow is gonna be worse.

Truck guy & another helped me up & back in my chair. Other guy carried bags home for me when he realized it was so close.

Neighbor helped put it all away.

(Chair did not fall. Bag weight pulled me out when shocks bounced.)

A series of unfortunate events, Katie style:

Get slightly too much at the store so you're struggling to balance extra weight which is front loading the center of gravity in your motor chair. See a truck waiting to let you pass, so you try to go faster. Don't see the divot in the ground. Chair tips.

Ah, I didn't know about that one. I got The Mabinogian in Celtic Anthropology, but then my next bits of literature jumped to Shakespeare and Victorian Literature. My history classes covered much broader areas, but didn't include literature.

That reading makes sense.

I wonder what she considered to be her curse? Like maybe it wasn't a supernatural type of curse, but maybe something like agoraphobia? Of course, back then, that still might have been considered supernatural...

Why was she cursed to weave forever? Like why would a magical mirror showing adventures (relating hard as a homebound disabled person who can only view life through TV, social media) not make her wish to escape her cloistered life? (Autistic ace who wanted to be a nun, but not this way.)
