Nice job. The coal mine settlements are a lot more than $80m. The two on which we have details (from Australian securities filings) are: Atrum $142.8 m and Montem/Evolve at $95 m for a total of $237.8 million. One other settlement still confidential and other claims pending.

Next time someone hypes the potential climate benefits of LLMs, maybe think about how they enabled mass fabrication of "public" comments that killed an important climate policy. Just one harmful application of software that can quickly generate lots of truthy-sounding bullshit.
They were going to pass rules to phase out gas stoves, until they received 20,000 public comments against the regulations. Except, oops, it turns out the comments were generated by AI.
Even though the health care system is in crisis, the UCP shut down the Legislature early because they didn't want to talk about people dying in Alberta's emergency rooms.
We need solutions, not a government that shuts down debate.

It's been over one month since the UCP government promised to hire triage doctors, who were supposed to be in place on February 1st, but nothing has been done. They've been more focused on hiring fancy consultants and coming up with new buzz words, while dismantling public health care. #abhealth
