Next up is dieselflation, where price of diesel fuel drives up delivery costs of everything & we see that at the grocery. The US is still so heavily reliant on oil that we are far more vulnerable to this energy shock than nations like China (partially still developing + green energy investment).

Yeah, the global oil market is one big pool, so US prices/barrel are global prices. Where it's produced is largely irrelevant. It's been cheap because there was an oversupply, now that's been used up, and production is dramatically slowed. Prices will remain higher than they've been for a while.

This is what I keep trying to explain to folks: if you're not building truly mass produced subjects, the stash isn't the result of FOMO, but of the reality of the market. It's going to be cheaper brand new than 1-6 years later on the secondary market.

After I got a coat of Mr Surfacer 1000 down, I had to take a break from DS9 for a couple of weeks - it was becoming more chore than fun. Back at it today laying down black Mr. Finishing Surfacer 1500 as last primer/undercoat.
