It’s incredibly easy to play. Play a card or slide all the cards in your tableau.
The DEPTH of what you choose to do, however, is significantly deep. It’s a game that rewards clever play & strategic planning.

Tonight's game for #Boardgame night is a new Kickstarter game called #Emberleaf. It's really fun, and easy to learn, but I feel it will take lots of time to master! The subtleties in recruiting critters to build your deck are extremely nuanced and take getting used to.
Next up we played Emberleaf from @cityofgameshq.bsky.social A game where you are playing cards to your board and eventually sliding them around to do a variety of skills.

Really enjoyed Emberleaf last night! It has the aesthetics of Root, the mechanical smoothness of Scythe (borrowing some mechanics there), the feel of Everdell and of course the DNA of Isle of Cats.
I always find it surprising just how different heat is in different places. My partner is from Portugal where it can be 35c+ and yet she typically finds 27c here much less bearable.
A lot of it comes down to humidity and the way the heat is presented. I'm a big fan of 16-18c so 30c is way too much!
Amazing, yes it's a similar but different experience - I hope you enjoy it!
